Football bettors have a pair of Monday night games to watch today, with the Baltimore Ravens traveling to face the Jets and the San Diego Chargers making the trip to Kansas City to face the Chiefs.
The Jets are favored by two points and the total is 36.5, while the Chargers are 4.5-point favorites and the total is 44.5. The two road teams are drawing the majority of the bets.
The line movement in the San Diego game is a bit strange, as three-fourths of the bets have come in on San Diego and the number has moved from 5.5 to 4.5, although that could very well be caused by the absence of Vincent Jackson and Shawne Merriman, who is doubtful for the contest with an injury.

The Kolb Era Starts in Philly
Sunday September 12, 2010
Kevin Kolb takes over as the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback today and he'll have a tough challenge, as the Green Bay Packers visit the City of Brotherly Love. Green Bay is getting bet heavily in the contest and are favored by three.
The lines for these opening week games have been out for several months now and it's unlikely to see any drastic changes today.
The 49ers and Dolphins are also popular bets with the public today.
There have been several reverse line moves, with Tampa Bay, Carolina and Oakland all falling in that category, although they may not be as meaningful today since the lines have been out for so long and the movement could have been dictated by personnel moves, etc., over that time.
Today's plays are up and is at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.

Favre, Vikes Look to Settle Score With Saints
Thursday September 9, 2010
It doesn't get much better than tonight's NFL game between Minnesota and New Orleans. A rematch of last year's NFC Championship Game, the two teams are among the best the NFL has to offer.
Bettors believe New Orleans is a notch above the Vikings, as the Saints are favored between five and six points depending on which sportsbook you are using. The total on the game is 49.
A pair of college games round out tonight's football schedule, with Auburn and Mississippi State and Central Michigan at Temple.
Auburn is attracting more than 70 percent of the bets, but the line has held steady or dropped, as the Tigers are 1.5- to 2.5-point favorites.
